Basics
Whether it’s a simple jump at the right moment or a devastating Melee Counter, you’ll need to harness all your skills—both old and new—to defeat the enemy.
WEAPONS —
When you begin your mission, you are only armed with a basic Power Beam and Missiles. As you progress, however, your arsenal will be upgraded substantially.
-
Charge Beam
Gathers energy, which is then released all at once in a devastating blast.
-
Ice Beam
Freezes enemies on contact, allowing them to be used as platforms.
-
Wave Beam
Fires energy waves that travel in a spiral path and go through walls.
-
Spazer Beam
Unleashes a pronged attack.
-
Plasma Beam
The ultimate in penetrating firepower.
-
Grapple Beam
Enables Samus to attach herself to certain objects, that can then be pulled or hung from.
-
Screw Attack
Causes the Spin Jump to inflict damage on contact.
-
Super Missile
A powerful upgraded missile.
-
Bomb
A deployable bomb specially designed to be used with the Morph Ball or Spider Ball.
Armor —
You’ll also discover various armor upgrades and other abilities along the way.
POWER SUIT UPGRADES

OTHER ABILITIES
-
Morph Ball
Enables Samus to transform into a compact ball. In this form, she can roll through spaces that would otherwise be too small for her.
-
Spider Ball
Enables Samus to make her Morph Ball form stick to many surfaces.
-
Spring Ball
Enables Samus to jump while in Morph Ball form.
-
High Jump
Enables Samus to jump higher.
-
Space Jump
Enables Samus to perform infinite Spin Jumps.
ITEMS —
Helpful items are sometimes dropped by fallen enemies or just found out in the open.

AEION ABILITIES —
The powerful new abilities all drain your Aeion energy, so use them wisely!

Scan Pulse
Uses Aeion energy to scan the surrounding area to reveal map information and help find clues.

Lightning Armor
An electrical barrier that strengthens Melee Counters and consumes Aeion energy to prevent physical damage.

Beam Burst
Increases your beam weapon’s attack power and enables rapid-fire shots.

Phase Drift
Slows time for everything but Samus. Handy for getting the jump on fast enemies—or fast-moving platforms!
